Remittances have become an issue widely discussed by the international community, as evidenced by their direct inclusion in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the goals related to reducing the costs of remittances (10.c.1); increasing the volume of remittances as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product (17.3.2); and facilitating orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of
planned and well-managed migration policies (10.7.1).
In that sense, this section contains the results of the Survey for the Development of Financial Products for Hondurans Abroad (EHX), whose objective is to support the orientation of public policies and the design of financial products for the benefit of migrants and their families.
In addition, there are documents that aim to present the official figures and estimates that NTMI considers to be the best founded of the population born in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras currently residing in the United States.
